Farris' 100th Anniversary Celebration

Dean Mary Anne Bobinski and President Martha Piper attended Farris' 100th anniversary celebration on December 1 at the Vancouver Art Gallery where the firm's managing partner, Keith Mitchell, announced a $200,000 gift to the UBC Faculty of Law.

The University of British Columbia Faculty of Law is delighted to announce and grateful to receive a significant grant of support from the law firm Farris. Last week at the firm's 100th anniversary celebration on December 1, 2003, Keith Mitchell, managing partner at Farris, announced a gift of $200,000 for an endowment to support excellence in research and teaching in the areas of business law and advocacy. The gift also honours the memory of two distinguished former partners of the firm, the late Frank Murphy,QC and Peter Butler, QC. The Faculty would like to thank Mr. Mitchell and the firm's partners for their investment in excellence at UBC Law.
