Centre for Feminist Legal Studies Lecture Series

This lecture series normally takes place during term time on WEdnesdays, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.. Occasional lectures also take place at other times during the year. The lunch-time sessions start off with presentation by invited guests and develop into wide-ranging discussions. Speakers include academics, lawyers, judges, and community workers offering a variety of feminist perspectives on the legal system.

Past Lecturers

Past speakers in the CFLS lecture series have included Canadian and international academics, lawyers, judges and community workers. We have been fortunate to have presentations from distinguished visiting scholars to the Faculty of Law. The mix of national and international speakers, theory and practice, and lively discussion makes the series a welcome enhancement to the study of law at the Faculty of Law.

Past lecturers have included:
