Bursaries

Bursaries are non-repayable awards that can help to supplement financial resources when student loans will not be enough.

Bursaries are only available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are currently receiving government student loans. US students who are Canadian citizens and receiving US Loans are eligible to apply for UBC general bursaries.

Apply between August 15 (date application forms are available) and September 15 deadline, to ensure you will be considered for bursary funding.

More information on applying for bursaries is available at Student Financial Assistance and Awards.

Many of the bursaries available have been generously donated specifically for Law students.

Bursaries from Donors lists these bursaries.
Students in the J.D./M.B.A. or LL.B./M.B.A. program are not eligible for bursaries as they are enrolled in a professional graduate program.
