Volunteer to be a Moot Court Judge

The UBC Faculty of Law is seeking alumni who are interested in volunteering as moot court judges for the 2012 spring term.

Support from our alumni community is essential in ensuring the success of the UBC Law mooting program as it provides first-year students with the perspective and real-world experience of practitioners.

The 2012 moots have been scheduled for 6:30pm on February 6, 7, 8 and 9th in the newly built Moot Court room at Allard Hall (1822 East Mall, UBC). A typical competition lasts a couple hours, during which judges have the opportunity to watch and then critique the students. Experience in a particular field of law is not a requirement for serving as a moot court judge as all volunteers are provided with background materials to assist in the judgment.
