UBC Law Announces New Faculty Appointment in Environmental Law and SustainabilityThe Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin J. Richardson to its faculty effective January 1, 2011, pending consideration by the University Board of Governors. Dr. Richardson currently serves as a Professor and Director of the Graduate Program at York University's Osgoode Hall, where he is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. He previously taught at the law schools at the University of Auckland and the University of Manchester, and has worked on environmental projects in Kenya, Nepal and Australia. Professor Richardson's scholarship focuses on environmental law and sustainability and his teaching includes courses in these areas as well as Aboriginal law topics. Dr. Richardson completed his undergraduate studies in law and political science at Macquarie University in Australia and his Ph.D. in environmental law at the Australian National University. |
