Justice G. Peter Fraser, 1937 - 2007

The Honourable Mr. Justice George Peter Fraser passed away on December 17, 2007 at the age of 70.  He was a member of the UBC Law graduating class of 1961 and later earned an LL.M. from the University of Toronto with an influential thesis on the discovery of fact.  He had a highly respected practice for 27 years before his appointment to the BC Supreme Court, where he continued to serve until his death.

Peter was a co-author of Fraser, Horn and Griffin's The Conduct of Civil Litigation in British Columbia. He was also a great patron of artistic activity and active in the creation of the Western Front artist-run centre and Greenpeace.  He is survived by his wife Catherine, daughters Sahara and Dorothy-June, sister Joan, and his brother Russell.
