Mary Anne Bobinski is set to Succeed Joost Blom as UBC Law School Dean

Joost Blom, the UBC Law School dean, drew the likes of B.C. Appeal Court Chief Justice Lance Finch and his predecessor, Allan McEachern, to a retirement tribute dinner at the downtown courthouse's Lawyers' Inn recently.

Supreme Court of Canada Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin and Justice Frank Iacobucci sent congratulatory regrets. But health-law specialist Mary Anne Bobinski, who'll succeed Blom July 1, was there, and will be again for an official introduction to members of the legal community June 11.
