Professor MacDougall was Senior Lecturer at University of Sydney before he was appointed Visiting Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law in 1965. He received a permanent appointment at UBC in 1966 and was promoted to Professor in 1968. Professor MacDougall has been a Visiting Professor at Monash University (1972), the Research School of the Social Sciences, Australian National University (1983) and University of Melbourne (1990). He serves on the Executive Council of the International Society of Family Law and is Managing Editor of the Canadian Journal of Family Law. His teaching and research interests include: Family Law, Children and the Law, Law and Aging, Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. Professor MacDougall is also involved in medical-legal matters and has taught in Health Science faculties. |
