Profile
Keith Farquhar was called to the Bar of New Zealand in 1966. Professor
Farquhar joined the Faculty of Law in 1976 as Associate Professor
and was promoted to Professor in 1990. Prior to coming to UBC, he
served as Director of Research for the Law Reform Commission of
B.C. and was Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Western
Ontario. He also served with the Law Reform Commission of Ontario.
Professor Farquhar has been a consultant and delegate to the Uniform
Law Conference of Canada and serves on the editorial board of the
Canadian Journal of Family Law. His teaching and scholarly interests
include: Family Law, Trusts, Succession, Real Property, and Conflicts
of Law. His publications have been principally concerned with Family
Law and Trusts.
