Fonse Faour Appointed Supreme Court Judge
Fonse Faour has been appointed to the Trial Division of the Newfoundland
Supreme Court. The federal appointment also makes Faour, former
chairman of the Newfoundland Public Service Commission, an ex-officio
member of the Newfoundland Court of Appeal.
Faour holds a law degree from UBC (1977) and practised law in Corner
Brook.
Faour's judicial appointment was made Nov. 5 by the Privy Council
Office, and took effect immediately.
