Lance P. Sy is the Program Assistant for both the Career Services Office and the Communications department of the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia. Lance obtained his B.A. in Economics at UBC in May of 2011. During the final year of his undergraduate studies, Lance served as a Work-Study Administrative Assistant with the Access & Diversity office; he then joined the Faculty of Law shortly after graduation. Prior to his work at UBC, Lance also served as a Sponsorship Intern for the 2010 Vancouver Kidney Walk with the British Columbia Branch of the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
Lance counts economics and current events, television and movies, and a broad range of music among his interests and also enjoys reading, swimming, and biking. Lance's only legal credentials include having watched every episode of all twenty seasons of Dick Wolf's original Law & Order, as well as every episode aired to date of the show's Special Victims Unit and UK franchises. His next goal is perhaps an actual Juris Doctor – or running through the five seasons of David Simon's HBO series, The Wire.
